Brain connectivity

How to give your kids an extra advantage with language 🦜

I’ve always known that growing up bilingual is awesome!

And now there’s a study that proves it. I made a short video about it in case you like watching. If you’d rather read, keep going.

Scientists found that bilinguals have stronger whole-brain connectivity than monolinguals. The study shows this effect increases the younger a second language is learned. These enhanced brain connections can benefit attention, cognitive performance, and resilience to age-related decline.

My husband and I are going one language further by raising our kids in english, spanish and french.

The most notorious result so far is funny expressions. Like when my kid accused his brother of Minting. That’s how you say “mintiendo” (lying) in spanglish. Or “hoy wentamos al parc de velo” . That’s Frenglishpan for “today we went to the bike park”. Gotta love that extra connectivity.

If you can, get your kid to learn another language early!
